Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Balin Trollslayer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marko Kerr!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Trollslayer swivels and escapes.
Trollslayer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kerr.

Trollslayer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kerr sprawls well initially but Trollslayer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kerr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Trollslayer is working away from the top position though.
Trollslayer is nestled in close to Kerr, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kerr keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Trollslayer prevents Kerr from improving his position.
Trollslayer has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Kerr is still trying to improve position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kerr regains full guard. Nicely done.
Kerr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kerr can do anything to dispel that myth.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kerr is on top in guard.

Kerr lands a couple of digs.
Kerr loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kerr throws an elbow that misses. Trollslayer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kerr's guard. Nice move by Trollslayer!

Kerr is pulling down on Trollslayer's head to control his posture.
Kerr looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kerr is striking from the bottom but Trollslayer uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Kerr slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Kerr looking for a sweep. Not yet Kerr, not yet.

Kerr is trying to control the position but Trollslayer postures up.
Trollslayer won't allow Kerr to sweep him here.
Trollslayer postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Kerr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kerr is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Trollslayer stopping the sweep attempt from Kerr.
Kerr wants to improve his position but instead Trollslayer has moved into half guard.
Kerr is looking to control Trollslayer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kerr avoid being mounted?

Trollslayer landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Trollslayer is taking a breather. Kerr says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kerr tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Trollslayer has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Trollslayer unloading with bombs!
Trollslayer trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Trollslayer looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Trollslayer has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kerr's face.

Kerr working to try and regain half guard.
Kerr wants to hold on but Trollslayer pushes him away.
Kerr takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Kerr keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Trollslayer lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kerr hang on?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Trollslayer landing strikes from the mount and Kerr is in trouble!
Trollslayer in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Kerr is rocked!
Kerr takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Trollslayer's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Balin Trollslayer!
An out of breath Balin Trollslayer thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
