Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carlos Marcos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hideo Kojima! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kojima fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Marcos half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Kojima throws a hook but Marcos blocks it. Marcos tries to counter with a takedown but Kojima is quick to defend against it. Marcos gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kojima wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Marcos decides to pull guard. Kojima tries to stand but Marcos is controlling from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marcos is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marcos manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kojima manages to get himself to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kojima is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Marcos sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kojima's guard. Marcos slows the pace down in half guard. Kojima is looking for a sweep. Marcos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Well, if Marcos is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
