Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Nichols (ranked 2772 p4p, 3734 weight class) and Conor Aldo (ranked 346 p4p, 442 weight class). Aldo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Foggy Dew kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Topper Green and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nichols smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Aldo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nichols.
Aldo tries a quick counter leg kick but Nichols is wise to it.
Aldo checks a low kick from Nichols.
Nichols swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Aldo connects with the punch.
Nichols throws out a powerful jab.
A slapping leg kick lands for Aldo.

Nichols tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aldo was well out of range. Poor timing from Nichols.

Aldo lands a big head kick that sends Nichols tumbling to the mat! Aldo takes a step backwards and waves Nichols back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Andrew Nichols seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nichols throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nichols lands a body shot.
Nichols throws a quick inside leg kick.

Aldo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nichols moves away.
Aldo has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Aldo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Aldo walks into a stiff left hand from Nichols.
Aldo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nichols.

A head kick from Nichols lands but Aldo takes it in his stride.
Aldo is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nichols moves in close and cracks Aldo with a massive right hand! Aldo, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Nichols!

Andrew Nichols really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Money Inc. (160Q with Proof ) 165$ logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
Conor Aldo was interviewed post fight and said 'I stormed in and put it all on the line. I took a shot and missed.
I will never apologize for taking a shot.
