Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Cubbedge (ranked 3380 p4p, 3192 weight class) and Nick Hexum (ranked 111 p4p, 36 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Cubbedge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Hexum! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cubbedge feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hexum sprawling to the canvas! Hexum rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cubbedge finish him?!
It looks like Nick Hexum has been cut. Hexum closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cubbedge did well to prevent Hexum getting side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hexum controlling the action here. Cubbedge avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hexum. Hexum content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Hexum throwing shots but Cubbedge is blocking nicely. Hexum takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Hexum is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hexum thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Cubbedge has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hexum with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Hexum not landing any meaningful shots this time. Cubbedge avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hexum. Hexum stalling. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Cubbedge blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hexum. My spies in McGrady FT inform me that Hexum has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Hexum controlling the action here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hexum will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Cubbedge throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hexum slips under a jab from Cubbedge. Hexum changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Hexum misses with a wild body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cubbedge moves out of range of the strikes. Hexum gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Cubbedge gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Hexum is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Billy Cubbedge! An intense looking Billy Cubbedge took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: '1,2, the Zombies coming for you. 3,4, Your face hits the floor. 5,6, your gonna need new lips. 7,8, Its just to late. 9, 10 your ass goes down AGAIN!!! whos next!'.
