Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Karpov (ranked 3652 p4p, 1655 weight class) and The Eagle (ranked 436 p4p, 223 weight class). The Eagle is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jordan Karpov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, The Eagle!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eagle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Karpov rushes Eagle and presses him up against the cage.

Eagle jumps guard and drags Karpov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Eagle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Karpov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Karpov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Karpov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Eagle is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Karpov creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Eagle with a big uppercut! Eagle tries to clinch up but Karpov pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Eagle to the mat! Eagle covers up and Karpov unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
