Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Karsten Koererlaerer (ranked 1612 p4p, 3298 weight class) and Jean Labosky (ranked 161 p4p, 315 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karsten Koererlaerer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 31 - 55 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jean Labosky! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Labosky comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Koererlaerer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Koererlaerer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Labosky is looking to control Koererlaerer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Labosky avoid being mounted? Koererlaerer not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Koererlaerer seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Labosky tries to kick Koererlaerer off but Koererlaerer keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Labosky taking some punishment here, with Koererlaerer in his half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koererlaerer scoring with strikes to the body and head. Koererlaerer throwing shots but Labosky is blocking nicely. Koererlaerer is stalling here. Labosky is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Koererlaerer seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Labosky has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. This has been an exciting period of action! Koererlaerer seems a little lost for a moment, as Labosky dominates the positioning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Labosky working away. Koererlaerer tries to bench press Labosky off him but Labosky keeps the position. Koererlaerer wants to get back to his feet but Labosky drags him back down. Koererlaerer is being controlled here. Koererlaerer is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Koererlaerer is looking to regain half guard here but Labosky keeps moving and retains side control. Labosky wants to lay and pray for a moment but Koererlaerer keeps working. Koererlaerer is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Koererlaerer is trying to control Labosky's posture but Labosky avoids it. Koererlaerer is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Labosky asserts his dominance and retains side control. Labosky is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Koererlaerer will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Koererlaerer is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Labosky trying to control the action but Koererlaerer is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Koererlaerer throws a sloppy head kick and Labosky moves out of range easily. Labosky swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Some wild striking there from Labosky.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koererlaerer shoots in and drives through. Labosky sprawls well. Labosky misses with a double jab.
Labosky stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Labosky wants it to stay on the feet. Koererlaerer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Labosky to the mat! Labosky manages to get full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Koererlaerer has gone for a leg lock! Labosky slips out almost immediately though and dives into Koererlaerer's guard. Labosky won't allow Koererlaerer to sweep him here. Koererlaerer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Labosky is controlling him. Koererlaerer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Labosky is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Koererlaerer has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Labosky off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Koererlaerer fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Karsten Koererlaerer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Labosky pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Koererlaerer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Labosky pinned against the cage. Labosky gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Labosky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Koererlaerer fails with a takedown attempt. Koererlaerer clinches up with Labosky and pushes him back against the cage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jean Labosky will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Labosky blocks a jab. Labosky tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Koererlaerer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Koererlaerer seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Labosky connects with a crisp jab. Labosky smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Koererlaerer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Koererlaerer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Koererlaerer lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Labosky is trying to control but can't.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Karsten Koererlaerer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Koererlaerer working the head and body with strikes. Koererlaerer lands with a punch from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koererlaerer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Labosky with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Labosky on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Labosky has hold of Koererlaerer's hands but Koererlaerer slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Koererlaerer drops an elbow to the side of Labosky's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Labosky is looking to escape. Koererlaerer lands with a punch from half guard. Ground and pound from Koererlaerer. Koererlaerer is keen to just control but Labosky is a slippery customer. Koererlaerer prevents Labosky from standing back up.

Labosky is rocked! Koererlaerer slips a nice elbow through Labosky's hands, connecting with Labosky's forehead. Labosky is still in real trouble! Can Koererlaerer finish him? Koererlaerer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Labosky does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Koererlaerer is looking for a kimura here.
Koererlaerer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Labosky is trying to stand back up but Koererlaerer is controlling him
Nice strikes from Koererlaerer there. Koererlaerer lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Labosky! More strikes land and this one is all over! Koererlaerer jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karsten Koererlaerer! Karsten Koererlaerer really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Altitude Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
