Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Augusto Pinochet (ranked 1108 p4p, 2316 weight class) and Doug Bell (ranked 154 p4p, 310 weight class). Pinochet comes to the cage accompanied by I Need a Pinochet. On his way into the cage it seems that Augusto Pinochet has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Augusto Pinochet seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Augusto Pinochet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 28 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doug Bell! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bell throws the kick towards the body but Pinochet avoids it. Bell with a poor takedown and Pinochet counters with a left and a right that stings Bell. Bell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pinochet circles away quickly and effectively. Pinochet clobbers Bell with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Bell misses with a takedown and Pinochet counters with a lovely straight right hand! Augusto Pinochet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doug Bell. Pinochet lands a nice looking body kick. Bell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pinochet was well out of range. Poor timing from Bell. Bell connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Pinochet throws a nice outside leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bell ducks under a wild hook from Pinochet. Pinochet lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bell's sensitive parts. Pinochet looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Bell avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bell misses with a hook to the body
and Pinochet counters with a lovely straight right hand! Pinochet with a hook. Bell keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pinochet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bell throws a head kick that misses. Bell lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Pinochet at a distance.
Doug Bell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pinochet lands with a hook. Bell tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. A shot to the body from Bell misses and Pinochet counters with a head kick. Bell looks to land a combination but Pinochet avoids it well. Pinochet appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Bell has managed to clinch.
Bell breaks the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pinochet. Bell does a little dance to reset his feet. Pinochet gets tackled into the cage by Bell. Bell maintains the clinch. We've been informed that Bell has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Still in the clinch, Bell scores with a nice short uppercut. Pinochet looking to slow down the pace here. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Pinochet seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Bell is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment. A short right from Bell on the inside. This has been an exciting period of action! Bell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bell moves into the clinch. Pinochet wants to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bell lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Pinochet scores with a hook to the body. Bell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pinochet looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Bell pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Pinochet is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. The fighters circling - Pinochet throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Pinochet throws a head kick that half lands.
A nice combination there by Bell.
Bell shoots for a takedown but Pinochet saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A head kick misses from Bell. Bell throws a head kick that misses. Bell gets the takedown into side control. Pinochet is looking for a sweep. Pinochet looks to move to half guard but instead Bell has passed into mount! Damn! Bell unloading with bombs!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pinochet keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bell postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pinochet looks a forlorn figure.
Pinochet is desperately trying to improve his position but Bell has a good base and remains in mount. Bell lands with some strikes.
Pinochet is rocked! Bell softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Pinochet is out cold! Bell jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Doug Bell!
