Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Petrov (ranked 1604 p4p, 2607 weight class) and Great Tiger (ranked 98 p4p, 165 weight class). Petrov comes to the cage accompanied by Star.One - Original Badman Feat. Takura & Assassin. Great Tiger has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 30 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Petrov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 25 - 22 - 0, fighting out of London, Great Tiger! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrov throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Petrov misses with a hook. Tiger fails with the takedown and Petrov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Petrov connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Great Tiger has been cut. Tiger takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Tiger ducks under a wild hook from Petrov. Tiger fails with the takedown. Aaron Petrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tiger blocks a jab. Tiger with the counter takedown but Petrov avoids it easily. Petrov connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Petrov swings widly with a right hand
and Tiger counters with a takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tiger thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Petrov is looking for a sweep. Petrov manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tiger is looking for submissions but instead, Petrov has regained full guard.
Tiger trying to control but Petrov is working from the bottom. Petrov has Tiger pulled in close to control his posture. Petrov looking for a sweep. Not yet Petrov, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Tiger throwing strikes from guard but Petrov blocks nicely. Petrov seems keen to control Tiger's posture. Petrov looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Petrov pulls Tiger in close to prevent any damage. Tiger in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Petrov keeping moving, preventing Tiger from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Petrov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Tiger tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. A big left from Petrov misses. Tiger has a takedown stuffed. Aaron Petrov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Great Tiger.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrov throws a nice looking combination but Tiger bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Petrov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Tiger misses with a takedown and Petrov counters with a straight right hand. Tiger closes this distance looking for a takedown but Petrov circles away. Tiger shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Petrov sprawls well. Petrov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tiger gets slowly back to his feet. Tiger shoots in for a takedown but Petrov shows good takedown defense. Petrov swings widly with a right hand
and Tiger counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Petrov holds on and takes a little breather. Tiger trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tiger with a flurry of punches that miss. Petrov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tiger throwing strikes from guard but Petrov blocks nicely. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Petrov is adopting a defensive guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Aaron Petrov dominated that round. The cut man is working on Great Tiger's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. No luck for Tiger with that takedown attempt. A little feinted left hand from Petrov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Petrov throws a body shot but no joy. Petrov throws a jab when Tiger was well out of range. Petrov is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Petrov thuds a left hand into Tiger's body. Tiger moves out of range as Petrov strikes. Petrov misses with a hook. Tiger ducked under it nicely. Tiger changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Petrov throws a head kick but Tiger moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petrov throws a shot to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Petrov misses the target. A big right from Petrov misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petrov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tiger under the eye. Tiger throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Petrov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tiger is in Petrov's guard. Tiger throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Petrov works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Petrov is adopting a defensive guard. Tiger is working Petrov over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Petrov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tiger can do to turn this around? Petrov controlling the position. Petrov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tiger throws an elbow that misses. Petrov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tiger's guard. Nice move by Petrov!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petrov trying to control the position from guard on top but Tiger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Petrov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Petrov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Petrov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Petrov stuffs the takedown. Tiger tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Petrov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Petrov lands a lovely overhand right. Petrov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Danga de danga de dang - Petrov scores with a four punch combination!
Tiger is rocked! Petrov lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
