Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liam Reem (ranked 4563 p4p, 5276 weight class) and Phil Cosby (ranked 62 p4p, 159 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Reem might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Daft Punk - Robot Rock. Cosby has chosen I Want Your Sex as his entrance music. Liam Reem has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phil Cosby!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cosby shoots for a double leg takedown but Reem sprawls well. He's pushed Cosby's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Reem thinks about countering with a body kick.
Cosby takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Cosby has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Nice takedown defense from Reem. No joy for Cosby on that attempt.
Cosby shoots for a takedown but Reem saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Liam Reem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Cosby.
Reem throws a quick inside leg kick.

Cosby shoots in and bounces Reem off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Cosby thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cosby controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reem has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Reem wants to sweep here but Cosby controlling him for the moment.

Reem keeping moving, preventing Cosby from controlling successfully.
Reem pulls Cosby in close to his closed guard and prevents Cosby from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Cosby wants to pass the guard but Reem is keeping the position.
Reem seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Reem tries to clinch but Cosby moves out of range.
Cosby walks forward, straight into a front kick from Reem.
Cosby will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Reem wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Reem fakes the leg kick and cracks Cosby in the body.

Cosby shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Reem napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Cosby wants to control but Reem is keeping him busy.
Reem on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Reem tries to get out of the position.
Reem is looking for a sweep.

Cosby looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Reem struggling a bit here.

Cosby is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Reem is trying to escape and Cosby transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Reem is forced to tap! Nice work there by Cosby! Very nice indeed!
