Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Philip Hendrix (ranked 4435 p4p, 24536 weight class) and Wendys Nuts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nuts comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Face kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Philip Hendrix! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wendys Nuts! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendrix looking to score a takedown here. Nuts is defending well but Hendrix drives through and ends up in Nuts's guard. Nuts looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Hendrix tries to free his leg and advance position but Nuts is retaining full guard. Hendrix trying to control the position from guard on top but Nuts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hendrix is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Hendrix trying to control but Nuts is working from the bottom. Hendrix stands up over Nuts, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nuts is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hendrix trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hendrix throws a big elbow that misses. Hendrix scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Nuts keeping full guard, as Hendrix tries to pass. Hendrix wants to control from the top but Nuts keeps moving.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hendrix drives through with a takedown into Nuts's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Hendrix wants to control from the top but Nuts keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hendrix wants to pass the guard but Nuts is keeping the position. Hendrix is working Nuts over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hendrix gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Hendrix moves into the clinch. Hendrix breaks the clinch.

Hendrix looks to land a combination. Nuts sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Nuts should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hendrix throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nuts tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hendrix is in Nuts's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hendrix slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nuts keeping moving, preventing Hendrix from controlling successfully. Hendrix drops back looking for a leg! Nuts is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nuts manages to kick Hendrix off! Hendrix jumps back into Nuts's guard. Hendrix slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hendrix wants to control from the top but Nuts keeps moving. Hendrix really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hendrix stands and steps away. Nuts gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Philip Hendrix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hendrix forces Nuts back against the cage and clinches. Hendrix is trying to pull guard but Nuts turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Hendrix stalling against the cage.
Hendrix turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Nuts explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hendrix rushes Nuts and presses him up against the cage. Hendrix has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Nuts avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Hendrix closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Nuts using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hendrix has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Nuts gets caught napping as Hendrix dives in and scores a takedown. Nuts manages to retain guard. Hendrix throws a big elbow that misses. Hendrix looking to pass the guard. Hendrix stands and steps away. Nuts gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Hendrix looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Nuts! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hendrix is looking to take a break and control but Nuts is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hendrix is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nuts knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hendrix is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Nuts's shoulder. That is not cool. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hendrix looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Nuts is avoiding damage well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Philip Hendrix dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Hendrix throws a one two combo.
Hendrix throws a series of strikes that have Nuts backpedaling.
Hendrix shoots in for a takedown but Nuts shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Hendrix throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nuts was covering up waiting for the punch and Hendrix finishes the takedown easily into guard. Hendrix wants to pass the guard but Nuts is keeping the position. Nuts takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hendrix trying to control the position from guard on top but Nuts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hendrix controls from within his opponent's guard. Hendrix pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nuts is keeping the position for now. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Hendrix decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nuts, up you get!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hendrix throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Hendrix clinches up with Nuts and pushes him back against the cage. Hendrix is trying to pull guard but Nuts has him pressed against the cage. Hendrix is trying to break free. Hendrix lands an elbow inside that Nuts shrugs off. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Hendrix tries to pull guard but Nuts forces him back to his feet, against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Philip Hendrix. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nuts wants to take the fight to the mat but Hendrix manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. A short right from Hendrix.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hendrix is trying to pull guard but Nuts has him pressed against the cage. Nuts prevents Hendrix from breaking the clinch. Hendrix tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Nuts's elbow. Hendrix drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nuts pulls his leg out and moves away.
Hendrix fails with a takedown attempt. Nuts lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Hendrix has Nuts up against the cage in a clinch.
Hendrix ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hendrix no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Nuts won't allow Hendrix to sweep him here. Hendrix knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nuts on the ground. Hendrix is working hard here to advance position. Hendrix will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Nuts working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hendrix on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hendrix tries to get out of the position. Nuts throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hendrix works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hendrix has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nuts can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hendrix lands a decent shot there. Wendys Nuts has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Philip Hendrix is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nuts throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Philip Hendrix showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hendrix has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
