Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rice Flair (ranked 2221 p4p, 2030 weight class) and Deacon Dilbrandt (ranked 288 p4p, 264 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Dilbrandt's choice of entrance music: Droppin. Deacon Dilbrandt will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rice Flair!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Deacon Dilbrandt!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flair fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dilbrandt sprawls well initially but Flair persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Flair missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Flair throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Dilbrandt to regain full guard.
Flair throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Dilbrandt tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

And Dilbrandt tries to counter it with a takedown but Flair pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Flair shoots in looking for a takedown but Dilbrandt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Flair's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

And Dilbrandt tries to counter it with a takedown but Flair pushes his down on his head and steps out.
A jab-cross combination lands for Dilbrandt and sends Flair crashing to the mat! Dilbrandt follows him down to the mat - Flair regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Oh Flair is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dilbrandt is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Flair knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Dilbrandt throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The strikes coming from Dilbrandt are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Flair's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
