Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Campbell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Morrison Dickson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Dickson misses with a body shot.
Campbell has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas in the buildup to the fight.
Dickson misses with a straight left.
As Dickson looks to move away, Campbell throws a big counter combo but Dickson just gets out of the way.
Campbell takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Dickson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dickson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Campbell was well out of range. Poor timing from Dickson.
As Dickson looks to move away, Campbell throws a big counter combo but Dickson just gets out of the way.
Dickson lands a nice hook to Campbell's body. Campbell takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Campbell walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Campbell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Campbell doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Campbell takes one to the chin there.
Dickson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Campbell counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Dickson badly! Campbell follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Dickson out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Campbell finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mark Campbell!
