The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson throws a looping overhand right but Ubarana ducks down to avoid it. Jackson looks to land a left hand but Ubarana moved out of range nicely. Ubarana ducks under a wild hook from Jackson. Jackson loads up on a big right hand but Ubarana slips the punch. Ubarana goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Jackson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ubarana defending well as Jackson loads up on a big left hand. Ubarana gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Jackson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ubarana prevents it.
Jackson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Ubarana wants the takedown. Jackson is fighting it off but Ubarana persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jackson's guard against the cage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ubarana missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ubarana stands up from Jackson's guard - Ubarana perhaps looking for a knockout. Ubarana gets the takedown into side control. Ubarana wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jackson, who protects the arm well. Jackson is trying to get back to half guard. Jackson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is staying active underneath Ubarana, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Jackson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Jackson is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Ubarana is tapping! Great win for Jackson!
