Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kotaro Kikuta (ranked 1082 p4p, 2040 weight class) and James Hunt (ranked 164 p4p, 291 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kotaro Kikuta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kikuta scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Kikuta ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hunt moves away.
Hunt looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Kikuta throws an overhand right that lands on Hunt's shoulder, as Hunt tries to avoid the shot.
Hunt throws out a counter right but Kikuta avoids it with no problem.
Kikuta scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Kikuta moves in looking to clinch but Hunt pushes him off.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

That was a close round but I would say that Kotaro Kikuta will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kikuta throws a good cross that connects.
Kikuta throws a lazy right hand but Hunt sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hunt is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Hunt in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Hunt lands a left and a right that send Kikuta crashing to the mat, dazed. Hunt thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oh Kikuta is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Hunt counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Kikuta has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). James Hunt!
A relieved looking James Hunt thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
