The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roughknight cracks Mattressback with an open hand slap.
Mattressback on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Roughknight throws a right hand that Mattressback ducks under and follows up with a left that Mattressback also avoids with ease.
Mattressback drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Mattressback misses with a takedown
and Roughknight counters with a nice uppercut.
Mattressback misses with a takedown attempt - Roughknight sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Roughknight scores with a hook.
Mattressback fails with the takedown.
Cecilia Roughknight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Madi Mattressback.
Mattressback shoots in for a takedown but Roughknight shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mattressback shoots in looking for a takedown. Roughknight tries to sprawl out of it but Mattressback keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Roughknight manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Roughknight's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mattressback under the eye.
Mattressback darts in looking for a takedown but Roughknight gets double underhooks and turns Mattressback into the cage.
Roughknight scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mattressback doesn't seem bothered though.

Roughknight fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mattressback, pushing him back against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Roughknight scores with a nice short uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by Roughknight.
Mattressback drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Roughknight gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Mattressback is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Roughknight scores with a shot to the side of Mattressback's head.

Roughknight breaks the clinch.
Roughknight connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mattressback's hands.
Roughknight dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Roughknight lands a head shot.
Mattressback doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Roughknight makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mattressback moves forwards but Roughknight connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Roughknight bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mattressback's head backwards.

Mattressback is rocked!
BOOM! Roughknight lands a beautiful left hook that drops Mattressback. Mattressback tries to recover but Roughknight is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Mattressback lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
