Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damian Tonon (ranked 399 p4p, 774 weight class) and Jian Zhao (ranked 54 p4p, 103 weight class). Zhao has chosen GZA - Shadowboxin' as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Damian Tonon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jian Zhao!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhao misses with a low kick.
Good exchange - Zhao coming out on top.
Zhao ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tonon moves away.
Donk. Zhao catches Tonon right on the button with a cross.
Tonon looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Tonon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zhao swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tonon gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Zhao.
Zhao thows a left - swing and a miss!
Zhao rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tonon counters with a shoot takedown. Zhao fights it but they end up in guard.
Zhao wants to sweep but no luck.
Tonon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zhao is keeping the position for now.
Zhao keeping moving, preventing Tonon from controlling successfully.
Zhao keeping full guard, as Tonon tries to pass.

Tonon trying to move into half guard but instead Zhao has managed to sweep!
Tonon wants to sweep but no luck.
Zhao sitting in guard here, content to control.
Tonon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Zhao is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Zhao's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Tonon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Zhao manages to get himself to full guard.
Tonon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zhao swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tonon drops back looking for a leg! Zhao is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zhao manages to kick Tonon off! Tonon jumps back into Zhao's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tonon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zhao is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zhao is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Tonon keeping hold of Zhao's head, controlling as best he can.
Still in half guard, Zhao seems content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tonon moves into full guard.
Tonon has his feet on Zhao's thighs here. He's pushed Zhao off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Zhao screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Damian Tonon was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
