Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Minoari Amida (ranked 927 p4p, 1742 weight class) and Panda One (ranked 143 p4p, 262 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Panda One was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Minoari Amida! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Panda One! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amida misses the shot to the body. Amida throws a lazy right hand but One sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. One's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and One duly obliges. Amida throws a right hand that misses
and One counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by One. Amida has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. One passes Amida's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with One in particular looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. One looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
One slows the pace down in half guard. One tries to pass the half guard into mount. Amida knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Amida preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. One keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Amida trying to control but One postures up.
One is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Amida moves into full guard.
One pushes down on Amida's leg and manages to get into half guard. Amida trying to control but One postures up.

Amida is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Takeda Clan Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. One is keen to just control but Amida is a slippery customer. Amida keeping control of the position. Amida is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Amida keeping control of the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. One is pressing down on Amida's thigh, looking to free his foot. Amida is holding on for now. Amida keeping control of the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. One fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Amida manages to avoid it. As One looks to move away, Amida throws a big counter combo but One just gets out of the way.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. One misses with a hook
and Amida counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Panda One has been cut. One misses with an uppercut. Amida saw that one coming. It looked like Amida wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. One changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Amida tries to avoid it but One manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Amida to the ground. Amida escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Amida lands a nice leg kick that just misses One's sensitive parts. One throws a jab but it's blocked by Amida. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! One misses with a looping right. As One looks to move away, Amida throws a big counter combo but One just gets out of the way. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Panda One dominated that round. The cut man is working on Panda One's cut. That's time! Back to the action! Amida bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of One's head. One shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Amida manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Amida manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Amida trying to stall but One improves his position.
Amida softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. One jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Amida walks away with a smile on his face. One gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Amida takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Amida cracks One with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! One throws a jab but it's blocked by Amida.
That's one minute gone in the round. One takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. One throws a shot from downtown. Amida moves away and avoids it. A little feinted left hand from Amida on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. A jab lands there for Amida. A jab from One misses. One throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Amida on the side of the head. One lunges at Amida with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Amida's hand. Amida misses with a double jab
and One counters with a single leg into guard. Amida didn't expect that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Amida not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
One slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Panda One has got the better of the ground game so far. Amida pushes One off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Amida avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A quick step to the side and Amida tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Minoari Amida is winning the standup battle so far. Amida with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling One to score with a decent uppercut. Amida is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. One shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Amida as he avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. One throws a shot to the body.
One uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Amida.
One gets cracked there but stands up to it.
One checks the leg kick. One ducks under a wild hook from Amida. One pushing out the jab but it's not landing. One might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Amida throws a jab when One was well out of range. A swing and a miss from One. Amida throws a head kick but One moves out of range.
Panda One seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. One lands with a shot to the body. One fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. One throws a lazy uppercut
and Amida counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. One pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Amida swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Minoari Amida will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Panda One's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! One tries to score a power double leg takedown but Amida sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten One somewhat. As One looks to move away, Amida throws a big counter combo but One just gets out of the way. One uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Amida. Amida throws the left hand but One avoids the punch easily. One feints the counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amida slips under a jab. Amida is looking for a counter combo. One jabbing away but nothing is landing. Amida is looking to counter punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. One misses with an uppercut. Amida saw that one coming. One is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Amida's half guard. Amida is looking for a sweep. One is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. One controlling the action here. Amida wants to improve his position but One is controlling well.
One seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Amida has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. One is working away from the top position though. One is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Amida sees it coming and defends easily. One seems to be working for a kimura but Amida defends the submission attempt. One content to control rather than advance. Amida is looking for a sweep. One is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. One controlling the action here. Amida makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Amida.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amida looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Amida is working hard here to advance position. Amida working a defensive guard here.
Amida will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. One looking to pass the guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. One won't allow Amida to sweep him here. Amida has his hands on One's head, controlling the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. One looks to score with a jab to the body but Amida is just out of range. Amida lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. One's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and One duly obliges.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Amida keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
An attempted straight right counter from Amida misses the target. One throws a right hand that misses
and Amida counters with a straight right hand. Amida lands a big head kick that sends One tumbling to the mat! Amida takes a step backwards and waves One back to his feet - he wants the finish!
One is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! One misses with a right hand and Amida counters with a crisp right that sends One to the canvas! Amida follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Minoari Amida! During a confident post fight interview, Minoari Amida thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
