Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Bostic (ranked 2082 p4p, 2528 weight class) and Chest Mangold (ranked 217 p4p, 257 weight class). Bostic's entrance music is Move. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Bostic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chest Mangold! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bostic feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bostic working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mangold's head. Bostic throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mangold works some decent striking defense from the bottom. They are putting on a show! Bostic postures up and lands a big shot to Mangold's brow. Bostic passes Mangold's left leg - he's now in half guard. Bostic is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Bostic wants to pass to mount but Mangold is defending the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The ground and pound from Bostic seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. He's almost out here... but no, Bostic gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Bostic working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Mangold gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bostic raining down shots from the mount! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Bostic dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. The fighters circling - Mangold throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Bostic shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mangold tries a quick counter leg kick but Bostic is wise to it. Michael Bostic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bostic tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mangold sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bostic somewhat. Bostic takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Bostic fails with the takedown and Mangold counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bostic shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mangold as he avoids it easily. Bostic tries for a takedown but Mangold circles away easily and Mangold counters with a slapping leg kick. Mangold throws a hook to the side of Bostic's head but Bostic sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bostic tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mangold defends well and Bostic ends up having to push Mangold into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch. Bostic can't get the takedown.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mangold gets through Bostic's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Oh Bostic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A left hand lands to the body for Mangold.
Mangold lands with a right to the head. Mangold scores with a nice hook to the head. Chest Mangold seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Mangold manages to break the clinch.
Mangold cracks Bostic with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chest Mangold! After winning the bout, Chest Mangold thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
