Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Javier Arroyo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maximus Nut Shot! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arroyo connects with an inside leg kick. Nut Shot slips under a jab from Arroyo. Nut Shot darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Arroyo regains full guard. Nicely done. Nut Shot tries to free his leg and advance position but Arroyo is retaining full guard. Nut Shot trying to control but Arroyo is working from the bottom. Nut Shot looking to pass the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nut Shot drops back, looking for a kneebar! Arroyo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Arroyo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Arroyo! Arroyo tries to move to mount but Nut Shot blocks the move with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nut Shot is being controlled here. Nut Shot sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Nut Shot is staying active underneath Arroyo, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Nut Shot is looking for a sweep. Arroyo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Arroyo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Nut Shot sees it coming and defends easily. Arroyo seems to be looking for submissions.

Nut Shot is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Arroyo is looking to take a break and control but Nut Shot is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nut Shot is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Arroyo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arroyo is staying tight to Nut Shot's torso, preventing him from escaping. Nut Shot tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Arroyo presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Nut Shot is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Nut Shot is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Nut Shot looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Nut Shot looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Nut Shot looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Nut Shot is refusing to be controlled, as Arroyo sits in half guard.
That's six minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nut Shot looking for submissions off his back. Nut Shot looking for submissions off his back. Arroyo is trying to control the action in half guard but Nut Shot is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Nut Shot looking for submissions off his back. Arroyo is controlling the pace.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

That's eight minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Arroyo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Nut Shot looking for submissions off his back. Nut Shot is not content to let Arroyo control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nut Shot uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Arroyo. Arroyo seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Arroyo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nut Shot looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Excellent takedown into side control there by Nut Shot. Arroyo tries to buck Nut Shot off but Nut Shot is having none of it.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Nut Shot tries to move to mount but Arroyo blocks the move with his legs. Arroyo manages to get back to half guard. Arroyo wants to control but Nut Shot is keeping busy and won't allow it. Nut Shot sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Arroyo defending well though. Nut Shot is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Nut Shot is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Arroyo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nut Shot is working away from the top position though. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Javier Arroyo will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! A nice leg kick from Arroyo, right into the meat of the thigh.
Nut Shot takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Arroyo looks to land a left hand but Nut Shot moved out of range nicely. Arroyo throws a big shot that misses. Nut Shot defending well as Arroyo loads up on a big left hand. Nut Shot keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Arroyo. And Nut Shot tries to counter it with a takedown but Arroyo pushes his down on his head and steps out. Arroyo throws a leg kick and Nut Shot counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Arroyo! Arroyo is looking for a sweep. Nut Shot is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Arroyo looks calm but he's in trouble here. Nut Shot gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Arroyo is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Nut Shot lets go of the hold and Arroyo can pop his arm back in it's socket.
