Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jamil Hurst (ranked 1117 p4p, 1063 weight class) and Vinicius Kicklighter (ranked 175 p4p, 161 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hurst might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Keep Their Heads Ringin'. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Vinicius Kicklighter was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jamil Hurst!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vinicius Kicklighter!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Hurst misses its intended target.

Hurst throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kicklighter sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A nice side step and Kicklighter releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hurst doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Kicklighter throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hurst takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hurst or perhaps it was just good defense by Kicklighter, which made it look bad.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kicklighter, as that shot connected.
Hurst shoots for a double leg takedown but Kicklighter sprawls well. He's pushed Hurst's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kicklighter! But no joy.

Hurst tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kicklighter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hurst somewhat.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hurst drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kicklighter dives on top into guard.

Kicklighter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hurst swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hurst throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kicklighter escapes and throws Hurst's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Hurst is not content to let Kicklighter control the position.
Kicklighter tries to move to mount but Hurst blocks the move with his legs.

Hurst drops his hands momentarily. Kicklighter doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Hurst staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Hurst doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
