Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elijah Dean (ranked 1029 p4p, 2197 weight class) and Javier Arroyo (ranked 142 p4p, 280 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elijah Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Javier Arroyo!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Arroyo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dean doesn't seem phased though.

Arroyo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dean throws a left and a right that both miss
and Arroyo counters with a leg kick.
Dean misses the shot to the body.

Arroyo thuds his shin into the meat of Dean's side.

Dean steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Arroyo.

Dean tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Arroyo was well out of range. Poor timing from Dean.
Arroyo was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Dean swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Arroyo counters with a body kick.
Arroyo scores with a jab. Dean acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Arroyo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

A little feinted left hand from Dean on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Arroyo is looking to land body kicks.
Dean on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Dean moves out of range of the strikes.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Arroyo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dean looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Arroyo lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Dean walks into a stiff left hand from Arroyo.
Nice defenses there by Arroyo.
Arroyo slips a straight right by Dean.
Dean swats away the attempt to clinch by Arroyo.

Javier Arroyo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dean throws a series of punches but Arroyo avoids them all with ease.
Dean on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Arroyo. Arroyo obviously looking to wear him down.

Arroyo slips a jab from Dean.
Dean fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Arroyo manages to avoid it.
Dean has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Arroyo.
Dean displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Arroyo throws out the jab.
A little feinted left hand from Dean on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Dean throws a nice looking combination but Arroyo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Arroyo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dean on the side of the head.
Arroyo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dean.
Dean stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Arroyo.
Dean on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Dean is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Arroyo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dean.

Arroyo moves into range and clinches up with Dean.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Arroyo ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Arroyo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Arroyo has Dean pulled in close to control his posture.

Arroyo has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Dean should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Arroyo has tightened it up now! Dean should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
