PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Justin Gaethje (ranked 4221 p4p, 4277 weight class) and Scott Norton (ranked 0 p4p, 486 weight class). Norton is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Regulators by - Warren G. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norton looks to land a combination but Gaethje avoids it well.
Gaethje was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
A swing and a miss from Gaethje.
Gaethje uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Norton.
Gaethje swings widly with a right hand
enabling Norton to counter with a crisp jab.
Gaethje throws out a loose jab but Norton uses good head movement to avoid it.
The crowd cheers as Norton lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gaethje doesn't seem phased though.
Gaethje throws a lazy uppercut
letting Norton counter with a right hand.
Norton avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gaethje throws a combination that misses
and Norton counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gaethje swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Norton scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gaethje doesn't seem bothered though.
Norton slips under a jab from Gaethje.
Gaethje gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gaethje cracks Norton on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Norton falls backwards against the cage. Gaethje follows up with more strikes that drop Norton to his knees. Gaethje keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Norton! This one is all over!
