Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Remi Chavaski (ranked 330 p4p, 518 weight class) and Anwar Rinda (ranked 40 p4p, 56 weight class). Anwar Rinda will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Anwar Rinda!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Rinda or perhaps it was just good defense by Chavaski, which made it look bad.
A slow jab from Chavaski misses its intended target.
Rinda tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Rinda tries for a takedown but Chavaski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Chavaski counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Chavaski.

Rinda is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Rinda felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chavaski is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rinda is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Rinda wants to control but Chavaski is having none of it.
Rinda is squirming around, avoiding Chavaski's attempts to control the action.

Rinda closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chavaski circles away.

Remi Chavaski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anwar Rinda.

Rinda fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chavaski manages to avoid it.
Chavaski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Chavaski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Chavaski has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Rinda defend it? Chavaski steps over the head and cranks it - Rinda is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Chavaski!

Remi Chavaski spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
