Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pat Risher!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips throws the left hand but Risher avoids the punch easily.
Phillips moves away from the strike by Risher.
Phillips tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Risher manages to circle out of the way.
Risher scores with a nice right hand.

Risher closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Phillips's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Risher throws a big shot that misses.
Risher is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Phillips.
Risher avoids the body shot from Phillips.
Risher has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Risher scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Phillips has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Risher has Phillips up against the cage in a clinch.
Risher makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Phillips creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Phillips using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Risher has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Phillips tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Risher avoids it.
Phillips throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Risher blocks it with crossed arms.

Risher tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Phillips got a little sloppy there for a moment and Risher has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Phillips has managed to get both his arms back between Risher's legs - danger averted.

Risher lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Risher fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Risher blocks an elbow strike.
Phillips misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Risher.

Phillips keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Risher's efforts to push away.

and Risher counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Phillips misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Risher scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Phillips doesn't seem bothered though.

Phillips throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Phillips avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Risher clinches up against the cage.

Risher's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Phillips moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The fight stays on the outside here - Phillips looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Risher scores with the left hand. Phillips knows he should have avoided that one.
Phillips lands a head kick!

Risher connects with a nice looking jab.

Risher closes the distance and clinches.

Risher drags the fight down to the ground.

Risher looking for a triangle here. Phillips is fighting it but it looks tight! Risher pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Phillips is tapping out - this one is all over!
