Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timur Vasiliev (ranked 227 p4p, 571 weight class) and Rav Kapur (ranked 35 p4p, 77 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Timur Vasiliev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rav Kapur! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kapur will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kapur shoots in looking for a takedown but Vasiliev manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kapur's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kapur shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vasiliev but Vasiliev pushes him off and we're back to square one. Timur Vasiliev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rav Kapur. Kapur showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Vasiliev.
Rav Kapur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kapur avoids the body shot from Vasiliev.
Kapur bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kapur tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Kapur thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kapur has control of an arm but Vasiliev manages to advance to Kapur's back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasiliev gets his hands free as Kapur looks to control. Vasiliev controlling well, preventing Kapur from escaping the position.
Kapur just trying to survive but Vasiliev is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Kapur breaks Vasiliev's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Kapur drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kapur jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kapur passes easily into side control. Nice work. Vasiliev's coaches at Deathsquad have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Kapur is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Vasiliev is trying to escape and Kapur transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Vasiliev is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kapur! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rav Kapur! A relieved looking Rav Kapur thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
