Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deontologicus Smiff (ranked 4472 p4p, 5537 weight class) and Xavier DeJesus (ranked 504 p4p, 577 weight class). DeJesus has chosen Fond my mind as his entrance music. Xavier DeJesus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smiff looks for a takedown but DeJesus sprawls well.
DeJesus swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Smiff has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Smiff is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
DeJesus is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Smiff scores with a couple of nice shots.
