Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Shaw (ranked 2643 p4p, 3958 weight class) and Jebediah Springfield (ranked 333 p4p, 466 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackson Shaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jebediah Springfield!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Springfield as he avoids it easily.
Springfield looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Springfield tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shaw swivels and escapes.
Shaw stuffs the takedown attempt from Springfield. Springfield gets slowly back to his feet.

and Springfield counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Shaw.
Springfield's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Springfield jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Shaw walks away with a smile on his face. Springfield gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jackson Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jebediah Springfield.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shaw fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Shaw feints and as Springfield raises his hands in defense, Shaw changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Springfield keeping moving, preventing Shaw from controlling successfully.
Shaw postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Shaw not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Shaw working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Springfield pulls Shaw in close to his closed guard and prevents Shaw from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Springfield staying out of range there.
Springfield looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shaw is fending him off so far but Springfield persists. Nope, Shaw circles away and we're back to standing.

Shaw throws a hook to the side of Springfield's head but Springfield sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Springfield closes the distance and clinches.
Shaw wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Springfield has him pressed against the cage.

Springfield's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Springfield has taken the fight to the clinch.

Springfield lands a nice shot to the body.
Springfield controlling the action here for a moment.
Shaw tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Springfield just stands there and leans against the cage.
Shaw jumps guard but Springfield stands there with Shaw around his waist. Shaw gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Springfield has Shaw pushed against the cage.
Springfield is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Shaw pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Shaw really is a fat lump.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Springfield breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Springfield is looking to stand up but Shaw isn't so interested in that idea.

A close round but Jebediah Springfield will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Springfield fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Shaw on the side of the head.
Shaw shoots in looking for a takedown but Springfield manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shaw's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Shaw looks for a takedown but Springfield sprawls well.
Shaw tries for a takedown but Springfield sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jackson Shaw. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Shaw rushes Springfield and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Shaw tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Springfield tries to land a front kick but Shaw steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Shaw has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Springfield is trying to keep an underhook but Shaw manages to get the takedown into half guard.
We've been hearing that Shaw has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Springfield wants to control but Shaw is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Shaw has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Springfield has his hands clasped together around Shaw's back. He's all about the action.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Shaw tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shaw doesn't manage to clinch there - Springfield circles away.
Springfield avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shaw throws a sloppy head kick and Springfield moves out of range easily.

Springfield has managed to clinch.

Shaw escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Springfield wants to clinch up but Shaw keeps it at a distance.

Springfield clinches up with Shaw and pushes him back against the cage.

Springfield pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Shaw throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Springfield was covering up waiting for the punch and Shaw finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Springfield has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Shaw is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Springfield drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shaw pulls his leg out and moves away.
Springfield throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shaw's waist but Shaw gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Springfield off to one side.
Springfield goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Shaw displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Springfield.

Springfield moves out of range of the body kick.
Shaw lands a nice looking body shot.
Jackson Shaw is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shaw has a takedown stuffed.

Springfield has Shaw up against the cage in a clinch.
Shaw is trying to stall.
Shaw is trying to pull guard but Springfield turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Shaw jumps guard and drags Springfield to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Jebediah Springfield showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Shaw's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Springfield pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Springfield throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like Jackson Shaw has been cut.

and Springfield counters with a crisp one two that drops Shaw! Springfield thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Shaw to his feet! Shaw is in big trouble!

Springfield drops Shaw with a beautiful combination! Shaw stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Springfield is looking for the KO!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Springfield has closed the distance and engaged Shaw in a clinch.
Oh Shaw is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Springfield breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Shaw seems to have got his legs back now.

Springfield shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shaw as he jumps to the side.

Springfield wants to control but Shaw is keeping him busy.

Shaw is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Springfield's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Springfield really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shaw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Shaw gets back to full guard.
Springfield slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Shaw is trying to control the position but Springfield postures up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Springfield got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shaw has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Springfield has managed to get both his arms back between Shaw's legs - danger averted.

Jebediah Springfield is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Shaw gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Jebediah Springfield comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Springfield winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
