PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brett Shoenfeld (ranked 150 p4p, 1030 weight class) and Genji Kamogawa (ranked 10 p4p, 64 weight class). Kamogawa has chosen The Veer Union - Bitter End as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Brett Shoenfeld has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Brett Shoenfeld seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Kamogawa misses.
Shoenfeld tries to counter with a takedown but Kamogawa is quick to defend against it.

Kamogawa tries to get to full guard but Shoenfeld has control of the leg.
Kamogawa won't allow Shoenfeld to pass to mount.

Shoenfeld uses his free foot to push down on Kamogawa's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kamogawa.

Kamogawa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shoenfeld. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kamogawa has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Shoenfeld had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kamogawa defends it easily.
