Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Amaru Kawiwasulu (ranked 741 p4p, 1123 weight class) and Jani Honkanen (ranked 104 p4p, 151 weight class). Amaru Kawiwasulu could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jani Honkanen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Amaru Kawiwasulu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jani Honkanen! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kawiwasulu swings for the body but Honkanen moves out of range.
Kawiwasulu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kawiwasulu looks to throw the jab but Honkanen is out of range. Kawiwasulu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Honkanen throws out the jab. It looked like Kawiwasulu was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Honkanen. Kawiwasulu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kawiwasulu looks to score with a jab to the body but Honkanen is just out of range. Honkanen feints the counter takedown. Kawiwasulu throws a sloppy body shot
and Honkanen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kawiwasulu's guard. Honkanen engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Honkanen wants to control from the top but Kawiwasulu keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Honkanen sitting in guard, not really doing much. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kawiwasulu keeping moving, preventing Honkanen from controlling successfully. Honkanen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Honkanen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Honkanen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Honkanen preventing the sweep. Honkanen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kawiwasulu is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Honkanen, into his guard.
Kawiwasulu has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Honkanen to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kawiwasulu is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Honkanen pulls down on the head and he's put Kawiwasulu to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jani Honkanen!
