Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Damien (ranked 1127 p4p, 911 weight class) and Ottaa Koppia (ranked 166 p4p, 137 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Ottaa Koppia!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damien shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Damien takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Damien fails with the takedown
and Koppia counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Jake Damien has been cut.
Koppia is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Damien.
Damien misses with a takedown attempt - Koppia sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Damien. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Damien shoots in looking for a takedown. Koppia tries to sprawl out of it but Damien keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Koppia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Koppia counters with a crisp right hand that drops Damien! Koppia lets Damien back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Damien misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Oh Damien is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Koppia lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Damien up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Koppia from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Damien's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ottaa Koppia!
A very excited looking Ottaa Koppia made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
