Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between J Gay G (ranked 3453 p4p, 3812 weight class) and Jean Labosky (ranked 333 p4p, 357 weight class). Gay G comes to the cage accompanied by Down. Jean Labosky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, J Gay G!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 56 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jean Labosky!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gay G misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Labosky counters with a one-two to the body.
We've been told by Gay G's head coaches at Punch Out Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Gay G swings for the body but Labosky moves out of range.
A shot to the liver by Labosky. Beautiful body shot.
Gay G misses the shot to the body.
Gay G uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Gay G showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Labosky.
Labosky moves away from the strike by Gay G.

As Gay G backs off Labosky throws a huge counter combo but Gay G manages to avoid it all.
Gay G sizes up Labosky with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Gay G thuds a left hand into Labosky's body.

And Labosky tries to counter it with a takedown but Gay G pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Labosky walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Gay G looking to score a takedown here. Labosky is defending well but Gay G drives through and ends up in Labosky's guard.

Gay G has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gay G passes Labosky's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Labosky is not content to let Gay G control the position.
Labosky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gay G. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gay G looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Labosky is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Labosky is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gay G tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Gay G jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Labosky is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Labosky and Gay G has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Gay G cracks Labosky with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Gay G looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Labosky prevents Gay G from moving into mount.
Gay G cracks Labosky with a big right hand but Labosky just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Gay G content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Gay G wants to lay and pray for a moment but Labosky keeps working.

Gay G is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Labosky will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Gay G is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Labosky has escaped the position, nice work there.
Gay G wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Labosky, who protects the arm well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
J Gay G dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Gay G uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Labosky.

Gay G is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Labosky can do to turn this around?
Gay G stuns Labosky with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Labosky tries to clinch but Gay G moves out of range.

Labosky bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Gay G wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Gay G scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Jean Labosky is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Labosky takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
J Gay G is winning the standup battle so far.
The fighters circle momentarily. Gay G darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Labosky is still on wobbly legs! Can Gay G finish him?
Labosky wants to clinch up but Gay G keeps it at a distance.
Gay G closes the distance looking for a takedown. Labosky stuffs it but Gay G still has hold of him. Gay G picks Labosky up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Gay G slams Labosky to the floor and that's really hurt Labosky - he doesn't know where he is! Gay G throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
