Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Lake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Leroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lake kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Saliva - Super Star. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Lake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Leroy! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leroy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lake. That did some damage! Lake moves away from the strike by Leroy. Lake thows a body shot but no joy. Leroy slips a straight right by Lake. Leroy fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Lake is out of range. Lake scores with a shot to the body.
Leroy clinches up against the cage. Leroy crunches a lovely knee into Lake's ribcage. Leroy effectively controlling the action here. Leroy misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Lake.
Lake letting Leroy take a breather here. Leroy continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Bruce Leroy. Lake throws a jab when Leroy was well out of range. Lake really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lake throws a leg kick which misses Leroy's front leg but catches the back leg as Leroy tries to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. A low kick from Lake misses and Leroy counters with a nice body kick. Lake scores with a body shot.

Lake tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Lake will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lake attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Lake takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Lake is breathing heavily. Lake misses with an uppercut. Leroy moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Leroy looks to land a body kick but Lake moved away. Lake throws a nice looking combination but Leroy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Leroy throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Leroy buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Leroy throws a nice outside leg kick. Leroy lands a nice leg kick that just misses Lake's sensitive parts. Leroy lands a brutal head kick. Lake looks out on his feet and Leroy throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Bruce Leroy!
