Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luke Neer (ranked 2475 p4p, 4025 weight class) and Jonathan Couturier (ranked 333 p4p, 507 weight class). Neer's entrance music is Back In Black. A fine choice. Jonathan Couturier will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couturier connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Neer momentarily.

Couturier moves into the clinch.
Couturier is trying to stall.

Couturier scores with a nice hook to the head.

Couturier has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Neer is proving hard to escape from.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Couturier must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Neer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Couturier doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Couturier manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Couturier is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Neer has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Couturier is looking to defend but Neer has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Couturier! Neer pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Couturier taps out and this one is all over!

Luke Neer spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
