Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neville Southall (ranked 1090 p4p, 1477 weight class) and Heitor Machado (ranked 31 p4p, 50 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Neville Southall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Heitor Machado! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Machado!
It looks like Neville Southall has been cut. That kick from Southall tenderised Machado's leg. Machado is trying to keep his angry face on. Machado scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Heitor Machado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Machado swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Southall. Machado clobbers Southall with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Machado looks to land a combination but Southall avoids it well. Southall throws a counter high kick but Machado was just alert enough to avoid it. Machado misses with a series of wild punches.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Machado is defended easily by Southall. Southall dodges the punch combination from Machado.

and Southall counters with a nice double leg into side control. Machado won't be happy with that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Southall sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Machado is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Southall misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Southall in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Southall in side control, throwing shots but Machado defends. Machado wants to control but Southall postures up. Machado is working to avoid the ground and pound but Southall connects with a decent elbow. You can see the frustration on Machado's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sloppy strikes there by Southall. Southall trying to control the action but Machado is working from the bottom. Southall misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Southall throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Southall is staying tight to Machado's torso, preventing him from escaping. Machado tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Southall wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Machado is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Southall scoring with punches and elbows. Machado tries to get back to half guard but can't. Machado is trying to get back to his feet. Southall misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Southall looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Machado is avoiding damage well.
Machado is not content to let Southall control the position. Machado takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Machado tries to improve position but can't. The ground and pound from Southall seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Southall working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Southall working the ground and pound from side control. Machado pushes Southall away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Southall gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Southall wants to lay and pray for a moment but Machado keeps working. Machado is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Southall is controlling him well. Southall lands a decent elbow from side control. Southall working the strikes but Machado uses the opportunity to regain half guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Southall controlling the action here. Southall seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Machado does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Southall passes the guard and advances to mount! Southall unloads with some shots from mount but Machado bucks and avoids them well.
Southall with the ground and pound from mount. Southall won't let Machado get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Southall tries to control but Machado wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Southall landing punches. Southall throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Whack. That's a big, big shot from Southall! Machado is out cold! This one is all over!
