Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrus Orlhovki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Karalim! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Orlhovki drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Orlhovki is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Karalim avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Orlhovki. Karalim wants to get back to his feet but Orlhovki drags him back down. Orlhovki is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Karalim knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Orlhovki fails to land a wild elbow strike.
You can see the frustration on Karalim's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Orlhovki in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Karalim throws a right and a left that Orlhovki avoids nicely. Orlhovki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Karalim's guard. Orlhovki drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Karalim manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Orlhovki has Karalim in his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Orlhovki will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Orlhovki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Karalim won't allow Orlhovki to sweep him here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Karalim throws a right hand that Orlhovki ducks under and follows up with a left that Orlhovki also avoids with ease. Karalim tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Orlhovki was well out of range. Poor timing from Karalim. Karalim misses with a double jab.

Orlhovki forces Karalim back against the cage and clinches. Orlhovki stalls. Karalim has Orlhovki pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Orlhovki manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Karalim wants to break free but Orlhovki has control.

He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Orlhovki seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Karalim has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Karalim screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Orlhovki! Nice submission victory there!
