The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karlson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Aron Karlson has been cut.
Karlson gets a takedown into half guard.
Santos is trying to escape back to his feet but Karlson uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Karlson tries to advance to mount but can't.
Santos tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Santos takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Santos struggling a bit here.
Karlson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Santos has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Karlson tries to move to mount but Santos blocks the move with his legs.
Santos tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Karlson easily slips into full mount!
Karlson is working for a guillotine from mount but Santos frees his head quite easily.
Santos has given up his back here.

Karlson just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Karlson tries to get the hooks in deep but Santos pushed the leg off.

Karlson is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Santos won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Karlson off his unconscious opponent!
