PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tito Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TooReal Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snow has chosen Through the Fire and Flames as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Tito Santiago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, TooReal Snow!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snow feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Snow is looking for a kimura but Santiago is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Snow to get the leverage.

Snow is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Santiago is just riding it out for now. Snow eventually gives up the hold.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Santiago decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Santiago is looking to take a break and control but Snow is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Santiago is pressing down on Snow's thigh, looking to free his foot. Snow is holding on for now.
Snow wants to get back to full guard.

Snow bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Snow is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Santiago is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Snow counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Snow drops back looking for a leg! Santiago is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Santiago manages to kick Snow off! Snow jumps back into Santiago's guard.

Snow thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

You can see the frustration on Snow's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Snow has control of Santiago's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Santiago regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Snow is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Santiago can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Santiago wants to try and get back to his feet.

Snow goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Santiago turns into him and now he's in Snow's guard.
Santiago has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Santiago stands up from Snow's guard - Santiago perhaps looking for a knockout.

Snow looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Santiago!

TooReal Snow comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Snow has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
