Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Helmit Crabs (ranked 5890 p4p, 4676 weight class) and Bob Franker (ranked 572 p4p, 517 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helmit Crabs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Franker! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Francis DeMontford and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crabs misses with a two punch combination.
Crabs could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Crabs looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Franker blocks a head kick by Crabs.
Franker now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Franker throws a left that rocks Crabs and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Franker dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Crabs regain composure!
It looks like Helmit Crabs has been cut. Crabs's coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Franker stands up and beckons Crabs to his feet. Crabs is looking to land body kicks. Franker is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Crabs with a body shot. Crabs waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Franker. Franker throws a left that rocks Crabs and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Franker dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Crabs regain composure!
Crabs is rocked! Crabs is breathing heavily. Franker decides to stand up, so the ref orders Crabs to his feet. Oh Crabs is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Crabs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Franker doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Franker tries to close the distance and clinch but Crabs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Crabs tries to land a body kick and Franker counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Crabs thinking. Franker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Crabs seems to have got his legs back now. Franker scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Crabs swats away the attempt to clinch by Franker.
That's one minute gone in the round. Franker closes the distance and pushes Crabs back into the cage. Franker working some nice short punches in the clinch. Franker manages to break the clinch.

A nice side step and Franker releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Franker works Crabs's body with a nice hook. Crabs gets tackled into the cage by Franker. Franker maintains the clinch. Franker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Franker takes a swing at Crabs's ribcage but misses. Franker is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Crabs rather than just go for the knockout. Franker wants to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Franker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Crabs manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Crabs takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Franker has managed to clinch.
Franker cracks Crabs with a nice body shot. Franker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. This has been an exciting period of action! Franker fails in his attempt to clinch. Helmit Crabs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crabs misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Franker ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Franker connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Crabs to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Franker!
