The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Pato displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Saltzman. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Saltzman is defended easily by Pato. Pato clinches up against the cage. Pato is trying to trip Saltzman. He has hold of a leg but Saltzman is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Pato persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Saltzman (0) vs (2) Pato Pato is sitting in close to Saltzman's body. Saltzman has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Pato is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Pato is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Saltzman.
