In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Springsteen Lee! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Phil St. Georges!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Darius Henderson and Eliza Hachem.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Lee displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from St. Georges.
Phil St. Georges seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
St. Georges fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
St. Georges tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lee swivels and escapes.

St. Georges felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

St. Georges is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.
