Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 5583 p4p, 5681 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Fighter B stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fighter B wants it to stay on the feet. Fighter A changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fighter B tries to avoid it but Fighter A manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fighter B to the ground. Fighter B escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Fighter B follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Fighter B scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Fighter B is looking to take a break and control but Fighter A is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Fighter B stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Fighter A fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck for Fighter B with that takedown attempt. And Fighter A counters with a quick kick to the body but Fighter B blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Fighter B shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Fighter A pulls Fighter B in to control the position. Fighter A on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fighter A tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A tries to land a sweep but no joy. Fighter A has control of Fighter B's left arm, preventing Fighter B from doing any damage. Fighter B has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fighter A is proving hard to escape from. Fighter B sitting in guard here, content to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fighter B fails with the takedown. No luck for Fighter B with that takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter B looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. It looked like Fighter A was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xxx Xxx dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Fighter A with a poor takedown and Fighter B counters with a leg kick. Fighter B goes for a double leg but Fighter A avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fighter A continues to drive forward. Fighter B shoots in for a double leg but Fighter A sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. It appears Fighter A was looking to counter with a kick there. Fighter B looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fighter A is fending him off so far but Fighter B persists. Nope, Fighter A circles away and we're back to standing. Fighter A throws a quick counter kick to the body but Fighter B avoids it. Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice sprawl there from Fighter B as Fighter A shoots in. Fighter B follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Fighter A fails with the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter B shoots in for a double leg but Fighter A sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Fighter A throws a quick counter kick to the body but Fighter B avoids it. Fighter B misses with a takedown attempt and Fighter A counters with a slapping leg kick. Fighter A shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fighter B's guard. Fighter B is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter A is staying active underneath Fighter B, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Fighter A throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Fighter A keeping hold of Fighter B's head, controlling as best he can. Fighter A is refusing to be controlled, as Fighter B sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A is trying is best to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fighter B is thwarting Fighter A's attempts to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fighter A shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fighter B sprawls well. Fighter B wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fighter A gets slowly back to his feet. Fighter B counters with a body kick. Fighter B shoots in and drives through. Fighter A sprawls well. And Fighter A counters with a quick kick to the body but Fighter B blocks it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter B shoots in for a takedown but Fighter A shows good takedown defense. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Fighter A looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Fighter A takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Fighter B is trying to stand up here but Fighter A is controlling him well. Still in half guard, Fighter A seems content to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B is trying to control but can't.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter B blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fighter A. Fighter A keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fighter B tries for a takedown but Fighter A sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Fighter B just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromFighter A. Fighter A shoots in but no luck this time.

Fighter A quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Fighter B has his takedown stuffed and Fighter A counters with an outside leg kick.
Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx. Fighter A stuffs the takedown attempt from Fighter B. Fighter B gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter B shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fighter A but Fighter A pushes him off and we're back to square one. Fighter B shoots for a double leg takedown but Fighter A sprawls well. He's pushed Fighter B's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Fighter B dives in and grabs Fighter A's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fighter A pushes down on Fighter B's head and hops out. Fighter A thinks about countering with a body kick. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fighter B dives in for a single leg takedown but Fighter A sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Fighter B takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Fighter A displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fighter B. Fighter B defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fighter A. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter A shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fighter B defends it nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Xxx Xxx showed his dominance in that final round. I think Fighter A has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
