Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Truman Roosevelt (ranked 1961 p4p, 2568 weight class) and Kanud Odimabesser (ranked 276 p4p, 336 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Truman Roosevelt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kanud Odimabesser!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Roosevelt throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Odimabesser looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Roosevelt shoots in for a takedown but Odimabesser shows good takedown defense.
Odimabesser moves out of range of the strikes.
Odimabesser swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Odimabesser keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Roosevelt dives in and grabs Odimabesser's left leg, looking for a takedown. Odimabesser pushes down on Roosevelt's head and hops out.

Roosevelt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Odimabesser sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Roosevelt somewhat.
A little jabbing left from Odimabesser on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

It seemed like Odimabesser was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
