Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Happy Chukwudu (ranked 2085 p4p, 2124 weight class) and Hick Diaz (ranked 297 p4p, 302 weight class). Chukwudu comes into the arena with Tinariwen blaring out of the sound system. Happy Chukwudu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hick Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chukwudu dives in and scores a takedown into Diaz's guard.
Chukwudu is standing up over Diaz. Diaz looks to escape but Chukwudu dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chukwudu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diaz keeps working.
Chukwudu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Diaz is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Chukwudu swings around for an armbar but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Chukwudu's guard.
Diaz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Chukwudu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Diaz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Diaz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Diaz shoots for a double leg takedown but Chukwudu sprawls well. He's pushed Diaz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
