Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salchicha misses with a takedown attempt - Magomedov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Magomedov shoots in for a double leg but Salchicha sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Salchicha manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Magomedov manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Magomedov is not content to let Salchicha control the position.
Salchicha might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Magomedov haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Magomedov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Salchicha to the mat! Salchicha manages to get full guard.

Salchicha has his feet on Magomedov's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Salchicha shoots for a takedown but Magomedov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Salchicha closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Magomedov is looking to get back to his feet here but Salchicha is keeping cool and he's managed to take Magomedov's back.

Salchicha is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Magomedov is defending well though. Salchicha let's go of the attempt for now.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Salchicha's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Magomedov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Salchicha on his heels. He'll look to pass Salchicha's guard now, I'm sure.

Magomedov shoots in but no luck this time.

Magomedov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Salchicha manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Magomedov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Salchicha on the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Magomedov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Salchicha is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Magomedov is working Salchicha over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Salchicha controls Magomedov momentarily but Magomedov frees himself.
Magomedov is in close to Salchicha's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Magomedov throws a strike but Salchicha rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
