Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kiryu Kazuma (ranked 119 p4p, 316 weight class) and Wanderson Machado (ranked 16 p4p, 42 weight class). Machado has chosen El Barrio as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wanderson Machado!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Chris Dean and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazuma throws a right hand that Machado ducks under and follows up with a left that Machado also avoids with ease.
Kazuma connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Machado's hands.

It looks like Wanderson Machado has been cut.
Kazuma swings for the body but Machado moves out of range.
Machado looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Kazuma moves in looking to clinch but Machado pushes him off.
Kazuma wants to clinch.
Machado scores with a hook to the body. Kazuma takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Machado on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A punch lands to the side of Machado 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Machado fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Kazuma throws a leg kick
and Machado cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A jab lands there for Machado.

Kazuma throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kazuma tries to clinch there but Machado circles away.
We've been told by Kazuma's head coaches at Iron Wolf Private Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kazuma scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Machado has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kazuma.
Kazuma throws a right hand that misses
and Machado cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kazuma rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Machado moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kazuma uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Kazuma wants to clinch but Machado slips to the side
and Machado counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kazuma fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Machado manages to avoid it.
Kazuma moves in looking to clinch but Machado pushes him off.
Machado now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Machado throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kazuma moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

That has opened up Wanderson Machado's cut even more.
Kiryu Kazuma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Machado jabs Kazuma to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kazuma takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Machado lands a nice hook to Kazuma's body. Kazuma takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kazuma takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kazuma is breathing heavily.
Kazuma on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Kazuma lands a nice leg kick that just misses Machado's sensitive parts.
Machado bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kazuma's head.
Kazuma walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Kazuma throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Machado throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kazuma tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Machado manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kazuma, as that shot connected.

and Machado counters with an outside leg kick.
Kazuma throws a head kick but Machado moves out of range.
Kazuma has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Machado.
Kazuma rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Machado counters with a head kick that drops Kazuma to the mat! Kazuma scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Kazuma is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kazuma misses with a body shot
and Machado counters with a huge left! Kazuma is in big trouble! He's backing up but Machado isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Kazuma from any more damage. A dominating finish by Machado!

A relieved looking Wanderson Machado thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
