Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregory Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gregory Silva!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob stuffs the takedown.

Silva instigates a clinch.

Silva gets control of Bob's arms and successfully pulls guard. Silva will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Silva pulls Bob in close to prevent any damage.
Bob wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.
Silva lands an upkick as Bob stands over him.
Silva keeping moving, preventing Bob from controlling successfully.

Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Silva is looking for a triangle here but Bob uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Silva throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

Silva is trying to improve his position.
Silva wants to control but Bob postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva manages to get back to half guard.
Silva slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Bob slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Silva has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Bob off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Bob shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Silva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Bob is trying to keep Silva in close.

Silva stands up and waves to Bob to follow him.
Bob is breathing heavily.
Bob closes the distance looking to clinch

and Silva counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Bob is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Bob jumps guard but Silva stands there with Bob around his waist. Bob gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bob fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Silva works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Bob wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.

Silva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Silva works over Bob with some ground and pound from guard.
Bob bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.

Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bob doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bob manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Silva has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bob trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Silva manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Silva stands up and waves to Bob to follow him.

Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Silva gets to his feet. Bob looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bob throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gregory Silva dominated that round.
That's time! Bob's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Bob clinches but Silva breaks the clinch

and Silva moves into the clinch.

Bob's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Silva gets to his feet - Bob follows without any prompting.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Silva is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bob can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Silva goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Bob turns into him and now he's in Silva's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bob is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bob's back instead.
Silva is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Bob. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Gregory Silva has got the better of the ground game so far.

Silva is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Bob knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Bob for a finish.
Silva lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Bob hold on?!
Silva is hanging on to Bob's back as he tries to escape.
Silva lands a shot to the head.

Silva is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Bob is defending well though. Silva let's go of the attempt for now.

Can Bob hold on?! Silva is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Bob turns into Silva and is now in his guard.
Bob wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.
Silva lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bob!
Silva wants to control the pace but Bob is squirming around nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gregory Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Silva moves out of range as Bob throws a body kick.
Silva closes the distance but Bob moves to the side

and Bob counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bob has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bob looking to sit in guard and control but Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Silva decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bob gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silva will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Silva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Silva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bob is just riding it out for now. Silva eventually gives up the hold.
Bob tries to kick Silva off but Silva keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bob is refusing to be controlled, as Silva sits in half guard.
Silva drops an elbow to the side of Bob's head.
Bob is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Silva jumps into side control!

Bob is squirming around, avoiding Silva's attempts to control the action.
Silva avoids the attempt from Bob to control.

Silva lands a big shot there that rocks Bob but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Billy Bob has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Gregory Silva is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Silva moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bob has worked his arm free - good work by Bob!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Billy Bob.
I think Silva has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
