The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cotton pushes Takana away with a front kick.
Cotton misses with a double jab.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cotton.
Dot Cotton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cotton throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cotton misses with a wild combination.
Cotton connects with a solid leg kick.
Cotton swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A big head kick from Cotton and Takana is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Takana is rocked!
It looks like Makoto Takana has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Takana will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Takana is still in real trouble! Can Cotton finish him?
Takana is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Cotton tries to stand but Takana is controlling from the bottom.
Cotton stands up from Takana's guard - Cotton perhaps looking for a knockout.
Takana seems to have recovered his senses.
Takana has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Cotton.
Takana shoots in and drives through. Cotton sprawls well.
Cotton lands a slapping body shot.
Cotton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Takana looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cotton ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Takana shoots in but Cotton avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dot Cotton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Makoto Takana.
Nice uppercut lands for Cotton. That snapped Takana's head back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cotton feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Takana crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dot Cotton!
