Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksander Balkan (ranked 2062 p4p, 3449 weight class) and Zahbit Lovanov (ranked 72 p4p, 129 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

With a record of 3 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zahbit Lovanov!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lovanov slips under a jab from Balkan.
Lovanov displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Lovanov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Balkan was well out of range. Poor timing from Lovanov.
The fighters circling - Lovanov throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Balkan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Lovanov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lovanov looks to score with a jab to the body but Balkan is just out of range.
Balkan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lovanov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Zahbit Lovanov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lovanov's corner calls for a 1-2. Lovanov obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Lovanov fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Balkan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lovanov manages to avoid it.
Lovanov is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Balkan rather than just go for the knockout.

Lovanov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Balkan.

Balkan has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Balkan lands with a right hand.
Lovanov shoots for a double leg takedown but Balkan sprawls well. He's pushed Lovanov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lovanov misses with a hook to the body
and Balkan counters with a big left hand that crumples Lovanov! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

A relieved looking Aleksander Balkan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
