Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig Long Lang (ranked 4782 p4p, 24349 weight class) and Jon Talbain (ranked 505 p4p, 623 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Craig Long Lang! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Talbain! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by Talbain or perhaps it was just good defense by Lang, which made it look bad. Lang decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Lang could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Talbain tries to get to full guard but Lang has control of the leg. Talbain is trying to stand.
Talbain keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Talbain is trying to stand back up but Lang is controlling him
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lang wants to stand up but Talbain is controlling the position.

Talbain is not content to let Lang control the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lang looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Talbain darts in looking for a takedown but Lang gets double underhooks and turns Talbain into the cage. Lang fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Talbain. Talbain throws a head kick that misses. Lang walks into a stiff left hand from Talbain. Talbain shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lang defends it nicely. Lang throws a counter high kick but Talbain was just alert enough to avoid it. Craig Long Lang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Talbain. Talbain tries to clinch but Lang is having none of it. Talbain shoots in looking for a takedown but Lang manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Talbain's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Talbain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lang seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Lang scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Talbain misses with a kick to the body.
Talbain is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lang thinks about countering with a head kick. Talbain tries to clinch there but Lang circles away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lang. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lang goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Talbain has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lang but great work by Talbain.

Talbain is looking to take a break and control but Lang is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lang can't do much from the bottom here. Lang might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lang is breathing heavily. Talbain gets to mount! Lang was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Lang really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lang is squirming around, avoiding Talbain's attempts to control the action. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Lang working to try and regain half guard.
Talbain misses with a head shot. Talbain tries to control but Lang wriggling away. Talbain thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Talbain trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Craig Long Lang will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Talbain cracks Lang with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Talbain shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. As Talbain looks to move away, Lang throws a big counter combo but Talbain just gets out of the way. Lang clinches up against the cage. Lang tries to pull guard but Talbain holds him up against the cage and eventually Lang drops back down to his feet.

Lang instigates a clinch. Talbain pulls guard effortlessly. Lang advances position into side control! Talbain wants to control but Lang postures up. Lang decides to stand back up. Lang steps back and let's Talbain get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lang slaps away a takedown attempt from Talbain, before circling back to the center of the mat. A quick step to the side and Lang tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Talbain tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lang manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Talbain has a takedown stuffed. Talbain fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Talbain with a poor takedown and Lang counters by moving into the clinch. Talbain has Lang pressed against the cage, preventing Lang from circling away and getting back to striking at range. A frustrated look appears on Lang's face as he tries to break the clinch. Lang tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Talbain just stands there and leans against the cage. Lang can't break the clinch.

Lang knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Talbain on the ground. Talbain pushing down on Lang's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lang is refusing to be controlled, as Talbain sits in half guard. Lang tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Talbain manages to move to mount!

Talbain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lang's waist but Lang gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Talbain off to one side. Lang displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Talbain. Lang fails with the takedown. Talbain changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Talbain shoots for a takedown but Lang saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Craig Long Lang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Lang trying to control the position from guard on top but Talbain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Talbain is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Lang frees his head nicely. Oh but Talbain has switched to an armbar! Lang is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
