Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Braddock (ranked 4668 p4p, 4462 weight class) and Rufus Lacis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Braddock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rufus Lacis!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Braddock misses the shot to the body.

Braddock clinches with his opponent.
Braddock tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lacis smiles and moves away.
Lacis fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lacis darts in looking for a takedown but Braddock gets double underhooks and turns Lacis into the cage.

Braddock scores with a takedown into Lacis's guard.
Lacis keeping moving, preventing Braddock from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Braddock throws a strike but Lacis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Lacis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Braddock is looking to stand up but Lacis isn't so interested in that idea.
Lacis wanted to stand there but Braddock had control of the position.
Lacis stopping the sweep attempt from Braddock.
Lacis postures up and lands a big shot to Braddock's brow.
Lacis lands a couple of digs.
Lacis wants to get up but he can't break Braddock's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Lacis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lacis works over Braddock with some ground and pound from guard.
Lacis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Braddock on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Braddock tries to get out of the position.

Lacis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Braddock is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lacis content to stall in guard here.

Lacis content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Braddock has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lacis is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Braddock.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Braddock is trying to control Lacis's posture but Lacis avoids it.
Lacis is looking to take a break and control but Braddock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Braddock manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Braddock is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Lacis jumps into side control!
Braddock is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Braddock can't do much from the bottom here.

Braddock wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Lacis has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Braddock's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Braddock is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Lacis!
